Overview:

Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will be a key operational leader responsible for optimizing daily logistics, mentoring frontline team members, and supporting long-term supply chain strategies. The role requires a hands-on, data-driven professional with the ability to balance tactical execution with strategic insight, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Effectively lead a team of Full-Time and Part-Time employees
  • Manage workplace health and safety and enforce compliance with legislative requirements
  • Read, interpret and apply a collective bargaining agreement
  • Demonstrate a strong achievement orientation
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle escalated concerns
  • Lead the implementation of warehouse automation technologies or process digitization initiatives
  • Enhance operational scalability and reduce manual inefficiencies
  • Partner with senior leadership to support long-term distribution strategies, and cost control initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between warehouse operations and departments such as merchandising, transportation, and customer service
  • Lead workforce planning, performance management, and team development initiatives
  • Use data and analytics to identify inefficiencies, forecast resource needs, and drive measurable improvements
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions to optimize fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and workflow automation Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a plant or warehouse setting
  • Experience in a retail warehouse is considered an asset
  • Experience in a unionized environment is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication
  • Advanced computer skills and experience using ERP systems, including NetSuite, Google, and MS Office products
  • Experience with Dispatch Track is an asset
  • Proactive and self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and make quick decisions
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets and contributing to profitability goals
  • Demonstrated experience leading change and managing through ambiguity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational KPIs
