Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse operations and ensure the highest standards of service. Join their fast-growing, friendly team in Portsmouth.

Responsibilities:

1. The efficient, accurate management and movement of stock
2. Booking in goods and ensuring they are stored correctly
3. Planning and optimizing warehouse storage space by effectively allocating stock
4. Reporting stock issues to senior management
5. Knowledge of stock adjustments
6. Working closely with the stock controller to maintain stock accuracy
7. Organizing swift offloading of incoming containers and stock (20-40 FT)
8. Knowledge of cycle counts
9. Ordering all UK and overseas stock with proven inventory control experience
10. Managing end-to-end import operations and documentation
11. Ensuring prompt investigations of stock movements and errors (SINS)
12. Achieving high attention to detail in dispatch processes
13. Measuring and reporting warehousing and employee performance
14. Enforcing facility rules, DSW laws, and health and safety regulations
15. Organizing pallet deliveries with couriers
16. Providing end-of-day reports
17. Ordering packaging materials
18. Ensuring couriers arrive on time and following up as needed

Candidate Qualities & Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Supervisor
2. Knowledge of inventory control
3. Experience with WMS, SAP Business One, and other warehouse packages
4. People management skills
5. Firm but fair management approach
6. Ability to work under pressure
7. Forklift license preferred (training provided)
