Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Newmarket, Suffolk

Hours: Week 1: Monday - Friday 10:30am - 20:00pm; Week 2: 06:00am - 15:00pm

Hourly Rate / Salary: £14.50 - £15 per hour

Duration: Temporary to Permanent

If you're a forklift pro (specifically Counterbalance, Bendi/Flexi a bonus), love keeping things organised & enjoy rallying a team to get the job done right, this one's for you. You'll be hands-on with everything from goods-in to pick and pack, all whilst keeping safety sharp and spirits high.

As Warehouse Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:

1. Overseeing daily operations, keeping workflow on track, and ensuring stock is stored and handled efficiently.
2. Taking the lead on forklift operations, managing goods in/out, and maintaining health and safety standards.
3. Setting a great example for the wider team.

Job Duties:

1. Supervise a small team and help keep daily warehouse tasks running smoothly.
2. Use the WSP to manage stock and orders.
3. Ensure all materials are handled with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation across the warehouse.
4. Oversee all warehouse activities like goods-in, stock put away, picking, packing, replenishment and loading whilst also being hands-on throughout the process.
5. Carry out daily equipment and forklift checks.
6. Operate the forklifts safely to load and unload materials from lorries or storage areas.
7. Carry out lifting and manual handling as needed.
8. Keep your work area clean and follow health and safety rules.

What we are looking for:

1. Previous supervisory experience within a distribution warehouse setting.
2. Able to use ERP/WMS.
3. People management skills.
4. Counterbalance forklift license essential.
5. Bendi/Flexi preferred but full training provided.
6. Previous experience in material handling and shipping/receiving processes.
