About the Role:
You will support the Warehouse Manager and oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring stock is received, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely. You will supervise warehouse staff, drive performance, and uphold high operational standards as a subject matter expert in warehouse systems and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise staff, assign tasks, assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews.
- Goods In & Dispatch: Manage receipt, checking, packing, labelling, and dispatch of goods.
- Stock Control: Maintain accurate inventory, manage returns, and perform regular audits.
- Training & Performance: Coach team members, ensure compliance, and promote continuous improvement.
- Warehouse Layout & Safety: Optimize space, enforce health & safety standards, and maintain a clean environment.
- Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Coordinate with other departments and address warehouse issues promptly.
- Reporting & Improvements: Monitor KPIs, support system upgrades, and ensure proper documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Supervisory Experience: Proven leadership in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to motivate teams and communicate effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities.
- Practical Problem-Solving: Proactive approach with a positive mindset.
- Systems & Compliance: Experience with WMS and commitment to health & safety standards.
