PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within a prison. You will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process if you are to be successful for this position.

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrable understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Assist the Workshop Manager in overall day-to-day management responsibility for all aspects of the retail service for a group of prisons within an allocated Workshop. Manage the stock put away and pick operations, supervising a team of Workshop Assistants and prisoners in picking locations to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate distribution of orders to prisoners.
• Comply with all HMP processes regarding the management and recording of prisoner activity.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Ensure that all KPI's and production requirements are achieved and exceeded.
• Attend local Prison meetings as required - Health & Safety, Industry Meetings, etc.
• Ensure Prisoner time/wage information is completed on a daily/weekly basis & much more!

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices.
• Previous experience in the preparation and distribution of volume orders.
• Computer literate with practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise, and train direct reports.
• Full & valid Driving License required with access to a private vehicle.

A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
