Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Harworth on a full-time permanent basis.

Working hours: Monday-Friday rotational shift.

Salary: £32,379 per annum.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the warehouse team and supporting the Shift Managers in meeting safety and operational requirements.

Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor:

  1. Assist the Shift Manager in delivering warehouse operations and responding to operational issues.
  2. Schedule and supervise warehouse staff activities.
  3. Ensure timely and proper completion of warehouse activities.
  4. Manage disciplinary, grievance, and absence cases within the shift.
  5. Support communication briefings for all colleagues.
  6. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies through safe practices, good housekeeping, and training.
  7. Support individuals in meeting performance targets and address underperformance.
  8. Maintain records of team and individual performance, and advise the Shift Manager of operational disruptions.
  9. Organize training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in various warehouse roles, including operating MHE and managing people.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with initiative.
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems.
  • Good understanding of health and safety.
  • Proficient in MS Office at an intermediate level.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
