Qualifications

Job Overview

As a Warehouse Supervisor, your role is crucial to the success of the branch operation. Leading a team of General Assistants, you will drive exceptional performance and standards. You will work to ensure that the branch achieves high performance and operational standards, ultimately delivering our Customer Promise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage warehouse operations, resources, and customer service within the branch, including line management of the General Assistant team.
  • Ensure all warehouse areas conform to Health and Safety legislation.
  • Work towards balanced performance across key business metrics and KPI measures aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain branch compliance with standards to ensure balanced performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop teams to build skills and capabilities now and for the future.
  • Hold regular colleague reviews to enhance engagement and support development.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to create a succession plan for the branch.
  • Ensure effective recruitment to attract future talent.
  • Deliver daily briefings to communicate key objectives and measures.
  • Work an average of 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am-6pm, with alternate Saturdays 8am-4pm.
Skills and Experience
  • Excellent communication skills to develop customer and colleague relationships.
  • Experience leading a warehouse operations team with a customer-first attitude.
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes.
  • Understanding of P&L management and stock booking procedures.
  • Strong ability to identify and resolve Health and Safety issues.
  • Ability to review, challenge, and develop colleagues to achieve their best and support their growth.
