Job summary

LKQ Euro Car Parts in Bedford is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the General Assistant team and drive exceptional standards. You will manage branch operations, ensure health and safety compliance, and deliver performance metrics aligned with business goals.

The role focuses on coaching, recruitment input, and daily briefings to communicate objectives. Expect a 44-hour week, Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays, in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recruitment processes.
• Understanding of P&L and stock in/out booking.
• Strong ability to identify and resolve Health and Safety concerns.
• Ability to review and develop staff to reach their best.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations, oversee General Assistant team and branch performance.
• Ensure all warehouse areas comply with Health and Safety legislation.
• Deliver balanced performance across key metrics and KPIs.
• Maintain branch standards to ensure consistent performance.
• Lead, coach and develop teams for current and future needs.
• Conduct regular colleague reviews to support engagement and development.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager on succession planning.
• Support recruitment to attract future talent.
• Provide structured daily briefings to communicate key objectives and measures.
• Hours: approx. 44 per week, Mon–Fri 8:00–18:00 with alternate Saturdays 8:00–16:00.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, your role is crucial to the success of the branch operation. Leading a team of General Assistants, you will drive exceptional performance and exceptional standards. Through your role, you will work to ensure that the branch achieves high performance and operational standards which will ultimately ensure that we deliver our Customer Promise.

Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse operations, resource and customer service within the branch, including line management responsibility for the General Assistant team
• Ensuring all areas of the warehouse always conform to Health and Safety legislation
• Working to deliver a balanced performance across key business metrics and KPI measures in line with business goals and objectives
• Ensuring the branch is fully compliant in line with the branch standards to maintain a balanced performance.
• Leading, coaching and developing teams to create the skills and capabilities needed both now and, in the future.
• Holding regular colleague reviews to strengthen colleague engagement and support development.
• Working with the Operations Manager to create a robust succession plan throughout the branch
• Ensuring branch recruitment is right the first time, attracting future talent to the organisation
• Delivering a structured daily briefing to ensure all colleagues understand key objectives and measures
• Average of 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am 6pm and alternate Saturdays between the hours of 8am 4pm

Skills and Experience

• Great communication skills demonstrate the ability to develop customer and colleague relationships.
• Leading a warehouse operations team with a customer first attitude.
• Knowledge of Recruitment processes.
• Knowledge and understanding of P L’s, and the booking of in and out stock.
• Strong ability to highlight and resolve Health and Safety concerns.
• Ability to review, challenge and develop colleagues in order to achieve their best and help them develop.
