Stores / Warehouse Manager

Department: Stores & Distribution
Type: Full-Time, Permanent | 40 Hours per Week (Shift Work)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Hours: 07:00 - 15:00 or 08:00 - 16:00 or 10:00 - 18:00

The Opportunity

We\'re looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day operations across stock control, goods movement, and team management. You\'ll be accountable for ensuring optimal warehouse performance, safe working practices, and the effective flow of materials to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse operations, including inventory control, goods-in/out, and team management.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and implement efficient storage and dispatch processes.
• Plan delivery schedules and rota management for warehouse and driving staff.
• Continuously improve warehouse productivity, processes, and space utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with all documentation, stock records, and operational reporting.
• Conduct regular stock checks in collaboration with Procurement and Sales teams.
• Enforce and promote strict Health & Safety standards across the site.
• Provide training and development to build a flexible, high-performing team.
• Act as a keyholder and support opening/closing as needed.

What You\'ll Need

• Minimum 5 years\' experience in a warehouse or logistics management role.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Proven team leadership and people management experience.
• Strong understanding of logistics, stock control, and operational processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach.
