Warehouse / Stores Assistant

Doncaster - 6mth Fixed Term - up to £25K - Monday to Friday 37.5hours

Our Doncaster based client is looking to expand their warehouse team with a Stores Assistant. Reporting to the Supervisor and a key role in maintaining smooth flow of materials within this manufacturing site.

As Warehouse / Stores Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Material Handling & Inventory Support by way of receiving and inspecting incoming goods, labelling and storing, picking and packing for production, applying FIFO process on all stocked items.

Monitor and update stock records accurately using inventory ERP/WMS systems.

You will be the first point of contact for inbound deliveries and outbound collections, ensuring all incoming and outgoing goods are properly documented and inspected for quality and quantity, reporting any discrepancies on the Conformance Log.

Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the stores area, ensuring safe use of MHE.

Handle basic paperwork related to stock movements, returns or rejections and scan delivery notes to maintaining accurate records.

Warehouse / Stores Assistant; Key skills and experience required

Experience in a warehouse or stores role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems or ERP software (Sage) is a plus.

Physically fit and able to lift and move materials safely, FLT license preferred.

Familiarity with safety procedures and material handling best practices.

As well as attention to detail, numeracy and record-keeping skills and good communication skills.
