Warehouse Stock Assistant - Reading - £24,453

The position

  • This is a full-time permanent position based at our customer's distribution centre in Reading.
  • Rate of pay: £24,453 per annum.
  • Weekly hours: 37.5 hours plus a 30-minute unpaid break daily.
  • Shift Patterns: 5 days out of 7, 8-hour shifts between 10pm-6am, with a £0.50 per hour night bonus.

A day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Assistant

As a Warehouse Stock Assistant, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment to ensure the accuracy of stock entering or leaving the depot.

Activities may include working across multiple workstreams such as Goods Inbound checks, Picker Accuracy audits, and Load Adherence checks, many of which involve manual handling.

Job activities

  • Audit inbound accuracy of supplier deliveries on the GFR program.
  • Audit picker accuracy of stock destined for stores and investigate errors.
  • Follow audit and error verification procedures diligently.
  • Maintain integrity at all times.
  • Achieve productivity levels aligned with customer expectations.
  • Review daily targets according to customer needs.
