Here at GXO, we are recruiting for an Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting one of our new business wins! As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

This is a full time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00 till 18:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £42,500.00 per annum, and 20 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

• Manage and lead the shift, striving to maximise productivity, quality, and efficiency across the Warehouse
• Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement to ensure efficient and accurate process
• Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
• Management of the warehouse training requirement and function

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment at a similar level
• The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
• Positive, people-oriented approach and readiness to tackle the challenges of the night shift
