Job summary

Inter IKEA Systems B.V. in Milton Keynes is looking for a Warehouse Operative. You will help ensure smooth store operations, balance warehouse and customer-facing responsibilities, and handle a range of products with attention to safety and accuracy.

The role is part-time (18-32 hours per week, 3-5 days, including late evenings and some weekends) with an hourly rate of £14.15 and a night-shift allowance of £2.25. Start date is 3 October 2026; benefits include IKEA discounts and life assurance.

Responsibilities

• Manually handle products across a range of items.

• Perform tasks in assigned area: pick, pack, receive, replenish with accuracy, keep stock records.
• Operate heavy machinery safely (forklift, pump trucks, counterbalance).
• Follow all safety protocols for a secure environment for customers and staff.

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 3rd October 2026
• This role offers an hourly rate of £14.15
• Nightshift allowance of £2.25 per hour applies for hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
• Part Time: 18-32 hours working 3-5 days per week including late evenings and 3 out of 4 weekends.
• Hours of operations for this area are from 4am until 10pm and we are looking for people with a variety of availability, including daytimes, evenings and weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• You are prepared to act on your own initiative and to participate in group efforts.
• You are comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support with the picking/filling of stock or to answer customer questions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
• Serving customers in the warehouse, balancing both warehouse and customer-facing responsibilities.
• Effectively perform the role in the assigned area of responsibility, which includes, manual handling of heavy stock, receiving and replenishing goods with accuracy, picking and packing customer orders and keeping accurate records of stock levels.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
