Job Title
Warehouse / Procurement Operative
DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain
DIVISION: North Star South
LOCATION: Lowestoft
HOURS: 40
Main Purpose Of Job
Focal point for all inbound / outbound deliveries supporting the North Star South operation.
Ensure stores are compliant and maintain the organisation of the facility.
Maintain Stock Control.
Provide support to the purchasing team.
Reporting Relationship
Reports to Supply Chain Manager, day-to-day supervision by local team.
Key Work Areas Responsible For
  1. Line checking inbound stock against delivery notes and perform goods receipts.
  2. Arranging outbound delivery to Vessels.
  3. Maintain stock control through storage / labeling / counting.
  4. Ability to create purchase orders to support the Lowestoft Buyers.
Communications
  1. Daily contact with fellow employees and management of North Star Shipping.
  2. Daily communication with management, crews, clients and suppliers both verbal and written.
Qualifications/Training
  1. Forklift license and experience.
  2. Dangerous goods license.
  3. Advantageous experience working in a Warehouse environment.
  4. IT Skills.

  1. Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team, and under pressure.
  2. Mature, professional approach to work.
