Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is staffing a Warehouse Picker & Packer in Yeovil, Somerset. The role features a 10:00am to 7:00pm Monday-to-Friday schedule, with a temporary-to-permanent contract and a pay rate around £12.96 per hour.

You will handle goods-in duties, stock movement, pallet preparation, and dispatch support in a fast-paced medical equipment warehouse. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, a reliable team player, and able to work on their feet all day.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift/move boxes safely and work on a fast-paced warehouse floor.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Must speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Move stock within goods-in and place items on the correct shelves.
• Ensure stock is stored safely and accurately in locations.
• Assist with moving products between areas and on the conveyor line.
• Prepare pallets and wrap them for transport.
• Keep work area clean, safe and well-organised.
• Support wider team and other warehouse duties as required.

Join our client, a leading supplier of high-quality medical equipment, supporting the smooth running of a busy warehouse operation. We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Runner to join the team.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will support various areas of the warehouse, including goods-in, stock movement, conveyor operations, pallet preparation, and dispatch. The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail, a positive attitude, and be comfortable working on their feet throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within the goods-in area, moving stock and putting items away onto the correct warehouse shelves once they have been processed on the system.
• Ensure stock is stored accurately, safely, and in the correct locations.
• Support warehouse operations by moving products between different areas as required.
• Work on the conveyor line, ensuring the correct packed items are handled and moved efficiently.
• Stack boxes onto pallets neatly, safely, and accurately ready for dispatch.
• Use pallet wrapping equipment to prepare pallets for transport.
• Ensure pallets are tidy, secure, and suitable for loading onto vehicles.
• Assist with other warehouse duties when required, including preparing kits and supporting the wider team.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Must be physically fit and comfortable with an active role.
• Able to complete 20,000-30,000 steps per day and stand for extended periods.
• Good attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Good presentation and professional attitude.
• Ability to lift, move, and stack boxes safely.
• Must have safety boots and practical workwear.
