Job summary

The Lash Oasis Ltd in Reading is seeking a reliable warehouse assistant to join Gemma and me. You will handle picking, packing and dispatching orders, prepare larger orders for distributors, and help assemble kits.

Receiving deliveries and keeping stock organised are also part of the day-to-day, with training provided and no prior beauty experience required. You'll be on your feet, move between tasks, and learn our processes in a small team with a supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy warehouse or stockroom is preferred.
• Ability to stand and move during shifts and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn processes and take responsibility for work.

Job description

Hi everyone! I'm Andrew, co founder of The Lash Oasis. We're a small beauty supplies business looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our warehouse team alongside Gemma.

Most of our products are small and light. The everyday work is preparing and packing beauty supplies, although there will be time on your feet and some moving of deliveries and stock.

This could really suit someone with experience in a busy warehouse, retail stockroom or fast food environment such as McDonald's who would enjoy a smaller team, varied work and regular daytime hours.

I really value the habits those jobs teach: following processes, keeping things clean and organised, checking your work and getting things done properly. Supervisory or management experience would be welcome, but isn't essential.

What you'll be doing

• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders.
• Preparing larger orders for our distributors.
• Putting together kits and helping with product packaging.
• Receiving deliveries and keeping stock organised.
• Helping with basic customer enquiries by email.

We'll teach you our products and processes. No beauty experience is needed. An interest in beauty is a bonus, but absolutely not a requirement.

You’ll need to be comfortable using a computer, moving between different tasks and, once trained, working independently on some days. We're a small team, so we're looking for someone happy to learn the whole process and take responsibility for their work.

We offer paid annual leave, training and an informal working environment. There's no company uniform. Casual, practical clothing is fine. The warehouse can be cold in winter and warm in summer, so please bear that in mind
