Job summary

Mars Castle Cary is seeking a hands-on manufacturing associate to ensure raw materials and machinery run smoothly across rotating shifts. You will contribute to quality, safety and production output while working in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a salary of £29,400–£31,200 (including shift allowance), plus a performance bonus and exceptional benefits, with training and development through Mars University and access to extensive salary and benefits packages.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in a production environment.
• Forklift experience preferable.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively.
• Ability to update data via computerised systems.
• Health & Safety awareness with strong understanding of standards.
• IT skills: Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Transport: Own transport is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent processing line efficiency in line with the set plan and raise any identified issues.
• Operate & monitor machinery to ensure efficient production runs and quality outputs.
• Handle materials: prepare, load, and safely store raw materials.
• Support peers in achieving safety, quality and efficiency standards throughout the site and follow all safety procedures.
• Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard.
• Record keeping: maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Actively participate in operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance.
