Job summary

Cosentino Group in Newmarket is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our distribution center. You will sign for shipments on receipt, inspect merchandise, and maintain accurate records while coordinating with suppliers to resolve issues.

You will operate warehouse equipment including forklift and crane, store items efficiently, load and pack orders, and ensure timely processing of distribution requests. A high school diploma and at least one year in a similar role are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is desirable (1 year).
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (crane, forklift, etc.).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Sign for shipments upon receipt and verify merchandise.
• Inspect merchandise for damages and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all merchandise received and distributed.
• Load, unload, and move merchandise using warehouse equipment.
• Pack, seal and label distribution orders for dispatch.

Job description

What are we looking for

At Cosentino () we are looking for a Warehouse Operative for our Distribution Center in Newmarket, who will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of.

What you will do

• Signing for shipments upon receipt and verifying that the correct merchandise has been received.
• Thoroughly inspecting merchandise for any damages and discrepancies.
• Maintaining an accurate record of all merchandise received and distributed.
• Contacting suppliers or distributors to resolve any shipment or delivery issues.
• Using forklifts, hand carts, or pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange merchandise accordingly.
• Strategically storing merchandise to maximize storage space within the warehouse.
• Weighing merchandise and selecting appropriate envelopes, boxes, containers, or crates in which to pack merchandise.
• Promptly processing distribution orders or requests, which includes retrieving specified merchandise from storage as well as packing, sealing, and labeling merchandise accordingly.

What you need to succeed

Experience:

Experience in a similar role at least 1 year is desirable.
Knowledges:

Ability to operate warehouse equipment (crane, forklift, etc...).
Heavy Truck license is a plus.
At least High School ideally.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 am until 5 pm.
