A leading company in pet care is seeking a Warehouse Operator / Fork lift Driver for their Sudbury factory. The role involves working a continental shift pattern, with an average of 42 hours a week. Successful candidates will have a valid FLT licence and experience in a manufacturing setting, ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

We have opportunities for an experienced Forklift Driver working on a continental shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights then 4 days off. The roles are based at our Purina factory in Sudbury.

A day in the life of a Forklift Driver …
Reporting to the Shift Manager, your main accountability will be to transport palletised finished products to the dispatch area and assist in loading outgoing trailers for our export and home trade
Other key responsibilities will include:
Ability to work as part of a team to work in safe but high paced area.
Ensure high safety and quality standards are adhered to.
Approach work with a continuous improvement mind-set.
Support with factory activities to achieve KPIs.
The role will also require adaptability and flexibility as you may be required to work in different areas of the department and plant.
What will make you successful
The successful candidates will ideally work in a Manufacturing and Warehouse environment and already have a FLT licence before and be thorough, professional and care about the safety of themselves and others.
You will need to demonstrate you care about always delivering high quality products and have a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Principles. You will be able to demonstrate ownership, high levels of results focus and strong communication skills.
We are looking for people who enjoy solving problems and exploring how things work, whilst continually thinking of new ideas to improve safety, quality and performance to meet consumer needs.
