Job summary

Dale Power Solutions in Scarborough is hiring a Warehouse Operator to handle daily warehouse tasks, unload, store, and dispatch materials, and ensure stock availability across production and service areas.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (C or above) or equivalent.
• Forklift Counterbalance licence desirable.
• Full driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Unload and receive materials at Goods Inward and locate stock.
• Ensure materials stored safely per health and safety practices.
• Kit and issue materials for Manufacturing and Service per schedule.
• Complete stock transactions in the ERP system.
• Liaise with couriers; pack and dispatch goods.
• Undertake general warehouse and stock-take duties.
• Maintain accuracy of stock identification, location and quantity.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy.
• Report material quality defects through the quality system.
• Be flexible to support business needs.
• Carry out other duties as required by Warehouse Section Leader and Supply Chain Manager.

Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Location: Scarborough

Job type: Full Time - Permanent. Mon-Thurs.7.00am-15.20pm Fri 7.00am-13.40pm.

The role:

• All day-to-day activities within the Warehouse.
• Safe unloading, storage, issuing and despatching of materials.
• Ensure continuity of materials to all operational areas of the business.
• Work closely with Production, Service and Supply Chain.

What you'll do:

• Unload and receive materials at Goods Inward point and locate stock
• Ensure materials are stored appropriately in accordance with health and safety practices.
• Kit and issue materials for Manufacturing and Service in accordance with work schedule.
• Complete stock related transactions on the company ERP system.
• Liaise with couriers, pack and dispatch goods in accordance with company procedures
• Undertake general warehouse and stock taking duties.
• Maintain accuracy of stock identification, location and quantity.
• Ensure work areas and gangways are kept clean and tidy.
• Ensure material quality defects are reported through the company quality system
• Have a flexible approach to work duties and responsibilities to support the overall needs of the business
• Carry out any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Warehouse Section Leader and Supply Chain Manager

What's important to us:

Qualifications;

• Forklift truck Counterbalance licence.
• GCSE / O level passes at grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent, are desirable.
• Manual handling and workplace safety vocational qualifications are also desirable
• A full driving license

Experience;

• Good communicator, a team player, flexible, conscientious, organized, articulate and methodical.
• Experienced in safe storage procedure and manual handling.
• Work in accordance with Company procedures and ensure full understanding of all risk assessments relating to job function are read and understood.
• Three years' experience working in a similar role, preferably within an engineering-based organisation

Additional;

• Confident user of ERP systems, you will be expected to book in and issue stock via the company's ERP platform. Training will be provided, but experience of using similar platforms is essential.
• We are looking for a someone confident in using email and phones for communication.
• Willing to be trained as a First Aider
• Willing to be trained as a Fire Marshal
