Job description

Role:

Warehouse Operator

Location:

Cheltenham, GL52 8SF

Duration:

12 months (likely extension)

Rate:

£16.65/hr PAYE

Shifts:

• 1 x day shift
• 1 x swing shift (includes 22% shift increase - £20.31/hr)

Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and efficient material throughput (Dock to Stock) to support manufacturing, engineering, and external suppliers. Focus on receiving, handling material flow, storage, accuracy, quality, kitting, and disposition according to Aerospace standards.

Job Description:

• Support Receiving / Warehousing Team in daily Dock to Stock processing.
• Receive, verify, process, and record goods in the business system.
• Process through the Quality database (QMS).
• Record supplier Certificates of Conformance (C of C) and pack slips.
• Recognize and address Non-Conformance issues.
• Communicate queries to the appropriate personnel.
• Verify, locate, and transact inventory.
• Follow store procedures and conduct physical & system receipts.
• Perform system/paperwork checks and physical stock movements.
• Track and control stock, maintain housekeeping, and ensure traceability.
• Handle Non-Conforming Materials and business system transactions.
• Receive, locate, and issue materials from stores.
• Present materials properly, manage stock disposition, and repackage or relocate as needed.
• Perform cycle counts regularly.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Proactive self-starter with a positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to skills matrix.
• Knowledge of material handling requirements, including ESD, HazMat, MSD.
• Understanding of Aerospace Material Handling and controls.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Experience with ERP & MRP systems.
• Strong warehousing background.
• Customer-focused and comfortable working with all levels.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Energetic, driven, and committed.
• IT literate, experienced with planning systems and PC packages.
