Job Description: Warehouse Operative

We are supporting a rapidly expanding organization in sourcing three Warehouse Operatives. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with multiple sites across the UK in the bio and scientific arena.

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing a variety of warehouse tasks such as Goods In and Goods Out, accurate receipt of goods, storage, picking, packing, labeling, and shipping.
2. Stock checking and preparing orders for shipment.
3. Working with a computerized system for booking goods in and out and utilizing labeling systems.
4. Ensuring proper allocation of goods within the warehouse.
5. Picking products against customer orders and ensuring appropriate packaging.
6. Maintaining QHSE standards through general warehouse work.
7. Conducting regular stock takes and audits.
8. Lifting goods up to 10kg.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Distribution Centre/Warehouse environment.
• Ideally, hold Reach and Counterbalance licenses; training will be provided if not.
• Experience handling hazardous goods (COSHH knowledge) is advantageous.
• Own transport is preferred due to limited public transport options; location is just outside Sheffield.

Working Hours and Compensation:

• 40 hours per week, typically 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (subject to change).
• Salary of £28,000 per annum.
• Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a health plan, and a contributory pension scheme.
