Job summary

MPA Recruitment is seeking motivated and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our client in Newtownards. You will work in a busy warehouse, assisting with picking, storage, loading and unloading, and maintaining quality, safety, hygiene, output, cost, and records.

Hours are 10pm–6am on a rota basis. Must have production/warehouse experience, be physically fit, and hold a counterbalance forklift license; reach truck experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or warehouse environment.
• Comfort using hand tools and basic machinery.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and dexterity.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Counterbalance forklift license required; reach truck may be needed.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Immediate availability to start.

Responsibilities

• Process customer requirements quickly and accurately.
• Report non-conformances and help develop corrective plans.
• Participate in training for new equipment and technologies.
• Work unsupervised under the Warehouse Controller.
• Ensure all systems and documents are completed as instructed.
• Support KPI delivery in production and engineering through teamwork.
• Pursue continuous improvements and quality upgrades.
• Collaborate with other functions on site.

Job description

We are seekingmotivated and reliable WarehouseOperatives to join our client based in Newtownards. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established and supportive team.

As a Warehouse Operative you will be working within a busy environment as part of a team assisting with the operation in the warehouse area. This is a multifunctional role assisting in picking, storage, loading and unloading of products within the warehouse and you will have responsibility for quality, safety, hygiene, output, cost and accurate record keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing customer requirements in a fast, efficient and accurate manner.
• Carry out checks and report on non-conformances as they arise, troubleshooting and creating plans to avoid any future issues.
• Participate in training for any new equipment/technologies as they are introduced.
• Able to work unsupervised under direction from the Warehouse Controller.
• Ensure that all relevant systems, documents and processes are completed as instructed.
• Lead by example, demonstrating highest personal standards in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
• Along with other operatives, be responsible for ensuring that the department supports the delivery of site KPIs, (customer service, quality, cost, sustainability and H&S).
• Continuously strive to raise the quality and standard of all tasks undertaken and support process improvement activities with formal and informal teams.
• Work in a collaborative manner and communicate effectively with other functions on site with a particular focus on production and engineering.
• Develop own performance by completing relevant learning and development activities.

Working Hours:

• 10pm - 6am on a rota basis

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience working in a production or Warehouseenvironment
• Ability to use hand tools and basic machinery confidently and safely
• Physically fit and able to work on your feet for extended periods
• Excellent attention to detail and a good level of manual dexterity
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Hold a valid counterbalance forklift license and attend refresher courses as required. (Reach truck forklift may also be required)
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures
• Immediate availability to start work
