Job summary

TRC Group is recruiting Warehouse Operatives for a busy distribution site in WA11. Immediate start available with a 1 hour paid induction. Shift is 16:30 to 02:00 (flexible to business needs).

Role involves sorting parcels and heavy appliances, operating warehouse equipment, accurate labelling, loading/unloading, and upholding health and safety in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required, though warehouse exposure is a plus.
• Able to stand and lift packages for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure proper sorting and labelling.
• Team player with reliable transport to and from site.

Responsibilities

• Sort parcels and large appliances accurately according to routes.
• Safely move, handle and store items, including heavy white goods.
• Operate conveyor belts, scanners and pallet trucks as required.
• Label, scan and categorise parcels to minimise errors.
• Assist with loading/unloading and maximise vehicle space.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet targets and dispatch goods on schedule.
• Report damaged items and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced setting.

MONDAY 3RD AUGUST 1 HOUR PAID INDUCTION - IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based Haydock . We are looking for multiple Warehouse Operatives to join the team.

Temp to perm opportunity after 12 weeks.

Available shift : 16:30 PM – 2 AM ( or until business needs )

Pay Rate: £12.71

Location: WA11

The role:

• Sorted and organised incoming parcels, freight, and large household appliances accurately and efficiently according to designated routes and destinations.
• Safely handled, moved, and lifted heavy white goods, including refrigerators, washing machines, cookers, and other large appliances, in accordance with manual handling procedures.
• Operated conveyor belts, handheld scanners, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment to support the efficient movement and sorting of goods.
• Ensured accurate labelling, scanning, and categorisation of parcels and bulky items to minimise errors and maintain operational efficiency.
• Assisted with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, securing freight and maximising vehicle space utilisation for safe transportation.
• Worked collaboratively with colleagues to maintain productivity, meet operational targets, and ensure the timely dispatch of goods.
• Identified damaged parcels or appliances and followed established procedures for reporting, documentation, and safe handling.
• Maintained a clean, organised, and safe working environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Followed company policies, security procedures, and manual handling guidelines within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution setting.
• Demonstrated physical fitness, reliability, and attention to detail while handling high volumes of parcels and heavy goods throughout each shift.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights, must be comfortable with heavy lifting.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
