Job summary

Pertemps is supporting Royal Mail with warehouse recruitment at the Gatwick Mail Centre (Crawley, RH10 9AA). We’re currently looking for reliable Mail Sorters who are available to work night shifts.

This is a temporary, hands‑on role within a busy parcel operation, with additional shifts potentially available during busier periods. Full training provided and support from Pertemps during your assignment.

Qualifications

• No previous experience needed; training provided.
• Available to work nights.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to lift mail bags up to 11 kg and parcels up to 30 kg.

• Sorting and scanning mail and parcels.
• Loading and unloading mail, parcels and pallets.
• Moving mail around the warehouse.
• Preparing mail and containers for despatch.
• Keeping your work area safe and organised.

• Moving mail around the warehouse
• Preparing mail and containers for despatch
• Keeping your work area safe and organised

What We’re Looking For

No previous experience is needed as training is provided. You’ll need to:

• Be available to work nights
• Be reliable, punctual and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
• Be happy standing and walking for long periods
• Be able to handle mail bags up to 11kg and parcels up to 30kg
• Be comfortable switching between different warehouse tasks

Pay Rates for the night shift is £16.44 per hour

Hours of work

Night Shifts:Typically start between 22:00 to 05:00
