Job summary

Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join Royal Mail as flexible Mail Sorters in Cambridge. You'll unload mail and parcels, sort by postcode, and move items through the delivery office, with teams sometimes handling over a million items per shift.

No previous experience is required—training is provided. You should be comfortable standing for long periods, able to push trolleys and lift mail bags, and adaptable to Day, Late and Night shifts with competitive hourly

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Mail Sorter, you’ll be at the heart of our operations:

• Unloading mail and parcels
• Sorting items by postcode and moving them through the delivery office
• Working efficiently to meet tight deadlines – some teams sort over a million items in a single shift!

You’ll also be expected to handle election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to have worked for us before (we love new people!), but experience in warehouse or sorting work is a plus.

Our ideal candidate:

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced setting
• Pays close attention to detail
• Is flexible and comfortable switching between tasks
• Can push trolleys up to 250kg and lift mail bags up to 11kg
• Can stand and walk for long periods during shifts
• Reliable and flexible with good attention to detail
• No previous experience needed - training provided

Pay & Shifts

Pay rates:

• Day Shift: Starts and finishes between 05:31–19:59. Pay rate is £16.24 per hour.
• Lates: Finishes between 21:40–01:59. Pay rate is £17.70 per hour.
• Nights: Three hours across 23:00-05:00. Pay rate is £19.00 per hour.

Shift Days & Times: Monday to Sunday -00:00 - 08:00
