Job summary

GSF Car Parts is hiring a Warehouse Operative to join our team. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and preparing orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in a busy branch.

This zero-hour/casual role covers holidays and absences, with up to 41 hours per week Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday work. We value reliability, attention to detail, and good communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail when stock checking and handling returns.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required.
• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Check and store supplier-delivered parts.
• Pick and load vans accurately and promptly.
• Check customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
• Verify stock quantities against the computer and store in allocated bin locations.

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by ensuring orders are picked and packed, and ready to be delivered to our customers. They are champions of customer service delivery through efficient coordination of warehouse stock and understand the importance of delivery timeframes. As a Warehouse Operative working on a zero hour/casual contact, you will support the branch in covering any holidays or absences.

Main Duties Include

• Checking and putting away supplier-delivered parts
• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner
• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge
• Checking stock quantities are correct against computer whilst also checking stock is stored in the allocated bin locations

Working Hours

Up to 41 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working depending on the cover needed in the branch.
