Warehouse Operative (Zero/Casual Hours)

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by ensuring that orders are picked and packed efficiently, ready for delivery to our customers. They champion customer service by effectively coordinating warehouse stock and understanding the importance of delivery timeframes.

As a Warehouse Operative working on a zero hour/casual contract, you will support the branch in covering holidays or absences.

Main Duties Include

1. Checking and storing supplier-delivered parts.
2. Picking and loading vans accurately and promptly.
3. Checking customer returns for resale, warranty, or surcharge.
4. Verifying stock quantities against computer records and ensuring stock is stored in the correct bin locations.

Working Hours

Up to 41 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturday work depending on branch cover needs.

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong team player skills.
• Efficiency and attention to detail.
• Understanding of customer service and working to deadlines.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry is desirable.
