Job Title: Warehouse Operative – Warrington

Location: Appleton Thorn, Warrington

Working hours: 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday

Salary: £12.34 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in Appleton Thorn, Warrington, for an immediate start. The ideal candidate will be reliable, with a strong work ethic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team of five warehouse staff. This role is suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can meet targets reliably. It is a permanent position ideal for building a long-term career with a company that values reliability and hard work. You will play a key role in ensuring orders are prepared accurately and on time to maximize customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, you will handle, store, and pack stock safely. Duties include dispatching samples, removing waste, stock counts, and general ad hoc tasks. You must be physically fit to handle bathroom goods ranging from brassware to resin shower trays.

Main Tasks:

  • Pick stock according to dispatch deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Replenish stock in aisles to maintain efficiency
  • Unload and locate deliveries, ensuring stock accuracy
  • Check and sign for deliveries as per supplier documentation
  • Report stock queries and shortages, update warehouse logs
  • Keep the warehouse tidy and dispose of waste properly
  • Assist in loading stock for delivery, ensuring efficiency
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Participate in annual stock takes
  • Be flexible with working hours based on business needs

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Good IT literacy
  • FLT license is advantageous but not essential; training provided
  • Own transport is required due to limited public transport access

Hours and Availability:

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts plus breaks. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required, such as during stock takes. Own transport is essential.
