Warehouse Operative - Technician Support

Support Technician
Wakefield WF3 4BY
Week 1: Days 0900 - 1700, Week 2: 1600 - 0000, plus Sunday 0700 - 1200
£25,625.60 per annum plus shift supplements

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Technician to join our Wakefield Depot. Under supervision from the depot, this role involves carrying out planned and preventative maintenance while gaining knowledge of the safe working practices required to carry out the role as a Technician.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the maintenance of volume picking machinery
  • Assisting in the immediate response to any breakdowns with the production equipment in accordance with the production hours
  • Develop knowledge of depot automation and its operational systems, regarding electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components

In this role, you will be required to stand and walk for most of your shift, as well as needing to be able to lift (up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Grade 4/C above GCSE or equivalent English and Maths qualification
  • Basic experience working within a maintenance environment

  • Good communication skills
