Job Description:

Position: Warehouse Operative (Team Leader)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Location: HMP The Mount - Hemel Hempstead (HP3 0NZ)

Salary: £26,262

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

Note: The role is based within a Prison. Successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced Security Vetting Process.

HMPPS manages prisoner orders for goods, and DHL handles their picking, packing, and distribution. This role offers a unique opportunity to support prisoner rehabilitation and work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Leading prisoners in a warehouse environment and being hands-on with picking and packing
  2. Reconciling stock levels within the warehouse (located at the prison)
  3. Managing timely and accurate dispatch of orders to inmates
  4. Meeting and exceeding operational targets
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a prison warehouse environment
  • Understanding of warehouse processes (desirable)
  • Good communication skills across all levels
  • Current 3-year UK address history (mandatory for security clearance)
