Job summary

Thorn Baker Group in Sutton-in-Ashfield is seeking Warehouse Operatives to join our warehouse and end of production line teams. The role is physically demanding, involving packing, palletising and dispatch preparation.

You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours, 8:00–17:00, with opportunities for training and progression in a supportive team environment. We offer training and development, a supportive team, progression opportunities, and weekly attendance vouchers.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to lift and move boxes/pallets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Previous experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Pack finished products at end of the production line.
• Inspect items for quality and defects.
• Place finished boxes onto pallets (palletising).
• Wrap and prepare pallets for dispatch.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Load and unload containers.
• Label and palletise stock.

Job description

We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives to work in the warehouse and at the end of the production line.

The job is based in Sutton in Ashfield within walking distance of the train station.

This is a physically demanding role involving packing finished products and placing boxes onto pallets for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Packing finished products at the end of the production line
• Inspecting items for quality and defects
• Placing finished boxes onto pallets (palletising)
• Wrapping and preparing pallets for dispatch
• Keeping the work area clean and organized
• Following all health & safety procedures
• Loading and unloading containers
• Labeling, palletising, wrapping stock

Requirements:

• Must be physically fit and able to lift and move boxes / pallets
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual
• Previous experience is beneficial

Pay Rate and Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 40 hours
• Working hours: 8.00am - 17.00pm
• Pay rate: £12.71/h
