Howdens Joinery is recruiting a Warehouse Person to ensure stock is organised, safe and ready for collection or delivery. You’ll work in a fast-paced depot environment with a strong emphasis on health and safety, accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A valid forklift licence is desirable.
• Good understanding of stock control and health and safety.
• Team player and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail with stock handling and record-keeping.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• Customer focused with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Clear communication and strong organisational and planning skills.
• Reliable, hands-on and safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock accurately per health and safety standards.
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensure stock is secure and prepared for dispatch.
• Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records.
• Keep the warehouse tidy, organised and efficient with stock rotation.
• Support trade customers with professional and helpful service.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Work closely with depot team to keep operations running smoothly.
