Overview

Warehouse Operative - Stock Controller
Stead House Distribution Centre

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm. Total Hours Per Week: 40
Location: Darlington

Role Purpose

The Stock Control Warehouse Operative is responsible for maintaining inventory through checking, counting and investigating stock. This role includes moving stock between warehouses and with external suppliers. The role reports to the Operations Team Leader for Stead House Distribution Centre.

Responsibilities
  • Counting stock
  • Slot maintenance
  • Producing reports using Excel
  • Working closely with internal and external departments
  • Stock control functions
  • Picking and handling pallets of stock
  • Investigating issues and communicating findings to other company departments
What you’ll need
  • PC literate
  • Flexible approach to performing other duties within the warehouse as requested by your Line Manager
  • High level of numeracy
  • Excellent time and attendance record
  • Good teamwork skills, with ability to work on your own
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Health and safety awareness in the warehouse
