Job summary

Sealey Group in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Warehouse Operative (Service Centre) to join our team on a permanent basis. You will unload containers, stock and pick/pack orders, and help with loading and stock housekeeping in a busy service centre environment.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. No previous experience is required as training will be provided; reliability, numeracy and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Reliable and flexible with strong attention to detail.
• Numerate and literate, able to follow instructions.
• Self-motivated and able to work well in a small team.
• Willingness to learn and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Unloading containers from suppliers by hand.
• Putting away bulk stock.
• Picking and packing orders for despatch.
• Loading packed consignments by hand from the conveyor into a stand trailer.
• Stock housekeeping – relocating stock and tidying picking locations.

Responsibilities as our Warehouse Operative (Service Centre) will include:

• Unloading containers from suppliers by hand
• Putting away bulk stock
• Picking and packing orders for despatch
• Loading packed consignments by hand from the conveyor into a stand trailer
• Stock housekeeping – re-locating stock, tidying picking locations etc.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

What we’re looking for in our Warehouse Operative (Service Centre):

• You must be reliable and flexible in your approach to work
• Numerate and literate, with good attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well in small teams
• Experience is not necessary as training will be provided but willingness to learn and to work as a team
