Warehouse Operative / Picker & Packer

Edenbridge, Kent

£12.71 per hour

Temporary seasonal work | October to Christmas

We're recruiting a team of Warehouse Operatives / Picker Packers to support a busy warehouse operation through its Christmas peak.

The work will start building during October, with volumes increasing significantly from mid-November onwards.

You don't need years of warehouse experience. What matters most is that you're reliable, happy being on your feet and willing to get stuck in.

What you'll be doing

• Picking customer orders using printed order sheets
• Packing products accurately and neatly
• Checking product and order numbers
• Preparing orders ready for dispatch
• Keeping your work area tidy and organised
• Supporting the wider warehouse team during busy periodsIt's a hands‑on role and you'll be moving around throughout the day, so you'll need to be comfortable doing plenty of walking. On busy days, this could be around 20,000 steps.

Hours

The standard shift will be:

8:30am to 5:00pm

As Christmas gets closer, there may also be opportunities for earlier starts, later finishes, additional hours and Saturday shifts.

Flexibility during the busiest part of the season will be a big advantage.

Previous warehouse experience is useful, but not essential.

We're much more interested in people who:

• Are comfortable being on their feet throughout the day
• Are happy working as part of a busy team

A couple of things to know

The warehouse can get very cold during winter, so you'll need to be comfortable working in a colder environment and come prepared with warm layers, gloves and suitable footwear.

The site is accessible from the Edenbridge area by train, although having reliable transport will be useful, particularly if you're interested in earlier starts or additional hours.

We're planning an on-site registration and walkaround session ahead of peak.

This gives you the chance to find the site before your first shift, see the warehouse, understand exactly what the job involves and make sure the role is right for you before committing to shifts.
