Job description

IKEA Reading are looking to welcome a nightshift Warehouse Assistant to join our hard-working fulfilment team.

Join the fun at IKEA as a Night Shift Co-worker by receiving goods into the store, ensuring safety, keeping the work area tidy, and spreading togetherness!

WHAT WE OFFER
  1. Start Date of employment will be 17th of May 2025
  2. Competitive hourly rate of £13.25 per hour, plus an extra £2.25ph nightshift allowance for hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
  3. 39 Hours, working from 23.30pm till 8am 5 nights per week with every 2nd weekend off.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
  1. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential; all you will need is the enthusiasm to thrive in an active workplace.
  2. Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
  3. Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  4. Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate productively in group efforts.
  5. Due to health and safety, you require to be over the age of 18.
  6. Previous experience of driving a forklift or be interested in obtaining a forklift license.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  1. Receiving goods into the store; this is a physically demanding role.
  2. Working with or around heavy machinery, such as Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks around the warehouse.
  3. Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
