Job summary

DPD Southampton is seeking high-energy Warehouse Operatives for a fast-paced, night-shift role at Unit 1, Site D, Hamilton Business Park, Hedge End, Southampton. You’ll work Tuesday to Saturday, 00:30–09:00, loading, scanning and sorting parcels and keeping safety standards.

Job Description

• Days of Work:Tuesday - Saturday
• Hours of Work: 00:30 - 09:00

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling andreporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
