Job summary

DPD UK in Exeter is hiring high-energy Warehouse Operatives to join a fast-paced logistics operation.

You will load, unload, scan and sort parcels, handle items up to 25 kg, and use scanners, conveyors and warehouse equipment to keep deliveries on time. Full training from day one, plus uniform and PPE provided, help you settle in quickly.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy.
• Handling items up to 25kg and staying on your feet throughout the shift.
• Using our technology systems to ensure correct parcel routing and timing.
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyors, and handling gear safely.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Conducting quality control checks and reporting discrepancies or issues to your supervisor.
• Working with teammates to hit daily targets and shift goals.
• Adhering to attendance expectations and reliability during shifts.

Job Description

• Contract Type: Permanent – 40 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: Monday - Friday, Tuesday - Saturday, Sunday - Thursday
• Hours of Work: 01:00 start

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
