About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative working the night shift, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our client’s warehouse operations. This role involves working in a cold environment and will cover a variety of tasks, including picking, packing, and managing goods in and out. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking Orders: Use handheld scanners to accurately pick items from designated locations based on pick lists. Ensure the correct items and quantities are selected, paying meticulous attention to detail to avoid errors.
• Packing: Safely and securely pack items into appropriate packaging materials, adhering to specific guidelines to prevent damage during transit. Quality control is essential to ensure only the best products reach our customers.
• Goods In: Receive incoming goods, check the quality and accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders, and report any discrepancies or damages. Accurate recording of goods received is vital for inventory management.
• Unloading/Loading: Assist with the unloading and loading of delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care and stored correctly within the warehouse. Physical fitness is important, as lifting and moving heavy items may be required.
• Labelling: Apply correct labels to packages, ensuring accurate and clear identification for efficient sorting and delivery. Attention to detail is vital to avoid confusion or misplacement.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and organized at all times, including sweeping, debris removal, and waste disposal following company protocols.
• Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including wearing protective equipment and reporting hazards or near misses.
