Job description

Job Description

To receive, pick, and consolidate customer orders using the Manhattan warehouse management system (WMS) as required. Maintain the flow of product in and out of the area according to the day’s work.

  • Carry out all tasks in a timely and efficient manner to ensure business continuity for Fowler Welch and our customers.
  • Load/unload products strictly in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Complete the correct documentation for all inbound and dispatch loads.
  • Report any trailer or MHE faults following company procedures and ensure VOR vehicles are placed in designated areas.
  • Remain vigilant to ensure goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
  • Ensure dispatched loads are properly secured before leaving the loading bay.
  • Meet and maintain standards required to achieve the company's productivity targets.
  • Carry out all practices and procedures safely, in line with the company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOW’s, and HACCP regulations, and challenge colleagues who do not adhere to these rules.
  • Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards.
  • Receive, record, and notify customer returns to the appropriate Stock Controller.
  • Assist Stock Controllers and colleagues as required, behaving harmoniously and courteously at all times.

Qualifications
  • Reach Truck Experience is required for this role.
  • Ability to work within a chilled/cold environment.
  • Experience working in environments where meeting deadlines and quality standards are critical.
  • Understanding of verbal and numerical reasoning.
  • Conscientious and reliable nature.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude.
