Job Role: Warehouse Operative

This role is responsible for assisting in the creation of meal kits for our customers. It involves ensuring the efficient movement of inbound and outbound goods, while maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards. The individual will operate material handling equipment (MHE) to support stock transfers, inventory management, and overall operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety standards, cooperating with HelloFresh on all safety matters. Report incidents and safety concerns promptly.
2. Perform basic problem-solving activities and escalate issues to the Warehouse Team Leader when necessary.
3. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Instructions.
4. Coordinate receipt and dispatch of goods to meet customer requirements.
5. Update inventory management systems accurately to reflect stock movements.
6. Assist with warehouse duties such as loading, unloading, palletizing, and manual tasks.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
8. Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
9. Operate MHE safely, adhering to operating procedures and maintaining awareness of safety.
10. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report malfunctions.
11. Handle a range of HelloFresh products, including animal products like pork, beef, and alcohol.
12. Comply with PPE and personal & food hygiene standards.
13. Perform any other duties reasonably expected in this role.

Who You Are:

• Experience in a warehouse or similar environment, preferably in the food industry.
• Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Knowledge of warehouse health and safety regulations.
• Proficient with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
