Warehouse Operative (Warehouse Team Leader)

Location:

HM Prison Stocken (LE15 7RD)

Contract Type:

Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift:

Mon 07:30-17:00, Tues-Thurs 08:00-17:00, Fri 08:00-13:30

Salary:

£25,478.31

NOTE: The role is based within a Prison. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Security Vetting Process.

Additional Requirements: A valid UK Licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.

About the Role

HMPPS provides prisoners with the means to order goods using their own funds. DHL manages the picking, packing, and distribution of these orders. Your role will be vital in supporting prisoners' rehabilitation, working with a diverse team in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading a group of prisoners in a warehouse environment, while also being hands-on with picking and packing
  • Reconciling stock levels within the warehouse (located onsite at the prison)
  • Managing the delivery of accurate and timely dispatch of orders to inmates
  • Ensuring operational targets are met and exceeded
Candidate Requirements:
  • Ability to work effectively in a prison warehouse environment
  • Understanding of warehouse processes (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills across all levels
  • Current 3-year UK address history (mandatory for security clearance)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
