Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts, distributed by Alliance Automotive Group (AAG) in the United Kingdom, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations at our UK site. The role focuses on stock control, health and safety, team leadership and ensuring efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.

You will liaise with suppliers and transport companies, optimise space and equipment use, and develop reporting to meet quality, budgetary, and environmental targets.

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Numeracy and an understanding of finance for stock management.
  • People management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team.
  • Team working, planning and organising to effectively manage the flow of stock.
  • Analytical ability, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Initiative and decisiveness; able to work under pressure.
  • IT skills and spreadsheet proficiency.
  • Knowledge of warehouse health, safety, and legal requirements.
  • Flexibility to work with shift patterns and changing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies.
  • Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods.
  • Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, meeting quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives.
  • Understand and contribute to the company's policies and vision.
  • Coordinate the use of systems where necessary.
  • Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone.
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and inventories accurate.
  • Plan future capacity requirements.
  • Organise the recruitment and training of staff, and monitor performance.
  • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork to meet productivity targets.
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Brief team leaders daily.
  • Maintain health and safety, hygiene and security standards.
  • Oversee maintenance of machinery and equipment.

You’ll also be responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the building and stock.

  • Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
  • Plan future capacity requirements
  • Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
  • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Brief team leaders on a daily basis
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment,
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment
Essential Requirements:
