As they continue to grow, they are looking for a motivated and experienced Goods In / Goods Out Operative to join their team.

Role Overview

As the Goods In / Goods Out Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and finished products in and out of the facility. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and the ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Accurately label and store incoming materials and components
• Pick and prepare parts for dispatch according to customer specifications
• Pack and ship finished products ensuring appropriate packaging and documentation
• Operate forklift trucks to move goods around the warehouse and loading/unloading deliveries
• Maintain accurate stock records and update internal systems as required
• Liaise with production and purchasing teams to coordinate materials flow
• Carry out regular stock checks and assist with inventory control
• Ensure all areas are kept clean, safe, and organised in accordance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid forklift license - essential
• Previous experience in a similar Goods In / Goods Out or warehouse operative role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Good IT and numeracy skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and proactive approach to work
• Knowledge of quality control standards in aerospace/automotive/defence sectors is an advantage
