Job Description:

The Role

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our Manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position offering £32,897 per annum and working on a 24/4 - Mon to Thursday rotational days and nights.

On Offer:

  • £13.18 per hour (including shift pay)
  • 48 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday - rotational days and nights (06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00)
  • Paid last Friday of each month.

Note: There are no public transport routes to our factory; own transport is required.

The Role

Ensure warehouse processes are followed for receipting, storing, and dispatching products according to standards and loading plans, while maintaining safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply production with raw and packaging materials to maintain continuous operations
  • Store finished goods from production until dispatch
  • Unload incoming vehicles and organize materials following acceptance and GRN procedures
  • Pick, assemble, and load outgoing vehicles as per dispatch paperwork
  • Operate in a safe manner, following health and safety policies, reporting concerns
  • Maintain FLT fleet, report damages, and ensure equipment is fit for purpose
  • Assist with training new colleagues, act as a buddy when needed

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing roles
  • FLT / Counterbalance or reach truck certification is essential
  • Good literacy and numerical skills, clear communication in English
  • Overtime available: up to 12 hours/week at time and a half; beyond 12 hours at double time
