Job summary

We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join a leading global manufacturer in Huddersfield on a night shift. The role focuses on safe receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of stock while operating forklift trucks and pedestrian pallet trucks, with FIFO and batch control.

You will work as part of a night shift team, uphold health and safety standards, complete accurate documentation and support production and logistics as needed. Training and overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck preferred).
• Valid PPT licence (Pedestrian Pallet Truck).
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of stock control and FIFO principles.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and stock movements.
• Able to work night shift pattern as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude towards safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Receive and document components and raw materials.
• Unload goods receipts and store stock in correct locations.
• Supply materials to production teams on time and in full.
• Maintain FIFO stock rotation and batch rotation for released stock.
• Provide QA, QC, Marketing and Production samples when requested.
• Carry out daily FLT and electric runabout inspections and report defects.
• Charge, water and maintain FLT batteries, following supplier guidelines.
• Receive, store and dispatch finished goods to third‑party distributors.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety and compliance across the warehouse.
• Support Warehouse/Logistics management with additional tasks as needed.

Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver – Night Shift

Temporary

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join a leading global manufacturer in Huddersfield. The role will be part of their Morn/Aft shift warehouse team. This is a hands‑on role that is essential to ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished goods throughout our operation. You will be responsible for the safe receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of stock while operating forklift trucks, pedestrian pallet truck and other warehouse equipment in accordance with company procedures and standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Accurately receive and document all components and raw materials.
• Safely unload goods receipts and store stock in the correct locations.
• Supply materials to production teams on time and in full.
• Ensure stock rotation is maintained using a FIFO (First In, First Out) system.
• Maintain batch rotation for all released stock.
• Provide QA, QC, Marketing and Production samples when requested.
• Carry out daily FLT and electric runabout inspections and report any defects immediately.
• Charge, water and maintain FLT batteries in line with supplier guidelines.
• Receive, store and dispatch finished goods to third‑party distributors.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and compliance across the warehouse.
• Support the Warehouse/Logistics management team with additional operational tasks as required.

What We’re Looking For

What We Offer

• Fixed Night Shift: 2154 to 0606 Mon to Thurs and 1724 to 2236 Friday.
