Job description

Blue Arrow is recruiting for Warehouse Operatives / FLT Drivers for our client based in Heywood.

Job purpose:

To carry out the day-to-day operation of the warehouse including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products. Duties may vary as directed.

Responsibilities:

• Convey materials from receiving or production to storage or other areas, reporting discrepancies.
• Sort and store materials according to predetermined criteria, maintaining cleanliness and aisle space.
• Assemble customer orders, package pallets, and record materials received or dispatched.
• Complete paperwork such as picking lists and pallet sheets.
• Label incoming goods and check against delivery notes, making corrections as needed.
• Mark outgoing pallets with identifying information and ensure products are properly packaged for transport.
• Perform SAP duties including creating labels, checking, and consolidating stock.
• Drive vehicles to transport items, following health and safety regulations.
• Inspect handling equipment and conduct pre-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with supervisors on shipping schedules.
• Maintain a high standard of work environment and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Participate in safety programs and report violations or hazards.
• Comply with company policies, quality management systems, and participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Licenses for VNA, articulated forklift, counterbalance, or powered pallet trucks are desirable.

Working conditions:

Ability to lift up to 25kg, work near moving parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and at heights up to 8 meters. Willing to work shifts, including occasional night shifts.

Salary: £28,236 per annum. Hours: 37.5/week, rotating shifts 6am-2pm and 1:20pm-9:20pm.
