Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative with an FLT licence for ongoing temporary work in Team Valley, Gateshead.

You will operate forklifts, load/unload, move stock, keep records, and follow safety procedures across days, lates and nights. The role offers regular hours with a rotating shift pattern and potential for a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence.
• Previous warehouse/logistics experience desirable.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles, ensuring goods are handled carefully and accurately.
• Move raw materials, finished products and stock throughout the warehouse or production areas.
• Pick, stack and store goods in designated locations while maintaining stock accuracy.
• Assist with goods-in and goods-out activities, including checking deliveries against paperwork.
• Complete warehouse documentation and stock records accurately.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling and PPE.

Warehouse Operative / FLT

Location: Team Valley, Gateshead

Job Type: Temporary (Ongoing)

Pay Rates

Day Shift: £12.96 per hour

Late Shift: £13.87 per hour

Night Shift: £14.77 per hour

Shift Pattern (Days/Nights/Lates)

Days - Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm

Nights - Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 7:10am

Lates - Monday- Friday 3pm - 11:10pm

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance), with previous driving experience preferred.
• Previous warehouse, logistics or manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible, with the ability to work a rotating 3-shift pattern where required.
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
