Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join the County Supplies team at Bar End, Winchester. The role involves picking, packing, stocking and dispatching orders, with a pro-rata annual salary for term-time only (40 weeks/year).

You will handle stock receipts, inventory, and accurate stock checks while maintaining high safety and service standards. The position requires reliability, hands-on capability, and basic computer use.

Qualifications

• Reliable team player able to work independently and with others.
• Able to carry out a range of hands-on warehouse duties, including regular manual handling tasks.
• Confident using computer systems and able to complete routine administration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and on time.
• Receive, store, and replenish stock as required.
• Record stock movements and complete stock checks.
• Identify and report stock or order discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
